The new Ka, that will be priced lower that the Fiat 500 will be initially offered with two engines: a 1.2-litre 69 PS Duratec petrol engine and, for the first time on Ka, a 1.3-litre 75 PS Duratorq TDCi turbodiesel. Ford says that the 1.2-litre petrol model, which is expected to be the largest seller in the range, has cut fuel consumption by 21 per cent compared to the previous 1.3-litre Ka. As for the diesel model, Ford has released a preliminary combined fuel consumption figure of 4.2 litres/100km (56mpg US / 67.2mpg UK).

The Fiat Punto Natural Power is a dual fuel version of the well-known Punto that runs both on petrol and methane in order to offer better protection for the environment. With this new option, the car has a range of 310 km (192 miles) when running on methane with the tank filled to its full capacity of 84 litres (according to the manufacturer a full tank of methane costs 12 euros ($16) and 3.8 euros ($5) to cover 100 km(62 miles)).

The new vehicle features a 1.4 8v engine capable to deliver 77 hp at 6000 rpm and 115 Nm of torque while the top speed is limited to 160 km/h(100 mph). Price of the car: €12,300 or $16,600.

The RS 500's five-cylinder engine has been given improved induction kit and a revised exhaust system, which help to add an extra 45bhp to the standard car’s 300bhp. Torque goes up from 325lb ft to 339lb ft.

These modifications reduce the car’s 0-62mph time from 5.9 to 5.6sec. Ford isn’t quoting in-gear acceleration, but expect the most noticeable changes to come during from 30-50mph in third. Top speed stays the same at 163mph.

The car's exterior is finished in a matt black paint unique to the RS500. Standard gloss black paint is applied in the factory, and then he cars are shipped to coatings specialist 3M’s site near Frankfurt, where a matt film is laid over the top. The gloss paint is retained on the lower grille and splitter, the rear spoiler and the rear diffuser. Brake calipers are finished in red.

Inside the cars have red detailing instead of the RS’s blue, and a plaque on the centre console with the car’s edition number.

Senner Tuning presents us their version of the Audi RS5 call the 'white beast'.
